Final Week 6 Sunday Thoughts

With bye weeks (and injuries) in full swing, more managers are digging deeper for streamers. Heading into today's games, here are my three favorite *deep* bargains for each skill player. If you need a nearly automatic 15+ QB points or 7+ RB/WR/TE points, I wouldn't recommend these guys. But if you have almost nothing to lose, lean into their ceilings:

Using FantasyPros' composite of expert rankings, we'll start at quarterback. Jameis Winston (QB16 ranking) makes sense with Malik Nabers and Isaiah Likely clicking, and facing a beleaguered Saints team whose ownership just called them out (or maybe that'll motivate them). I expect at least a couple of scores for Daniel Jones (QB18) against the hapless Titans.

How about rookie Jalon Daniels (QB23)? The concern is that he's facing a Steelers D that's giving up the third-fewest QB fantasy points per game. But here are Pittsburgh's opponents so far: Cooper Rush and the Falcons, Drake Maye (whose RBs and defense did much of the work), Deshaun Watson, and Daniel Jones. Oh, and they yielded nearly 300 yards and three TDs to Joe Burrow.

At running back, Blake Corum (RB31) is a reasonable dart throw in a game where the Rams *should* comfortably defeat the Cardinals, giving Corum more late-game opportunities. Meanwhile, the Saints are surrendering the most RB fantasy points per game. Cam Skattebo and Tyrone Tracy both coughed up the ball last week. It's been two weeks for Najee Harris. Which RB will score the most points today? Who knows, and that's why Harris (RB43) is a little-to-lose Hail Mary for desperate managers. I would also take a flyer on Seth McGowan (RB53), assuming the Colts beat the Titans by 10+.

For wide receivers, yesterday I mentioned Josh Cameron's opportunity to move up the depth chart. He's this week's WR71. Highly risky, of course, and it's also pretty clear that he's not heading back to the bench. The Raiders' Cody White (WR68) will be at home against a Buffalo D giving up the most WR fantasy points per game. He appears to be one of Vegas's top-two wideouts. And I can't imagine Marvin Harrison Jr. (WR62) finishing outside the top 50, unless he somehow needs another week to get acclimated. All signs point to his best game in a while.

Finally, tight end: I'd go Tyler Higbee (TE15) for all the reasons highlighted this past week, plus the fact that he's going against the overmatched Cardinals. Kyle Pitts (TE18) has too much pop to ignore if you don't have a sure-fire top-8 tight end. And last week, Michael Mayer played on 39 offensive snaps -- only three less than Brock Bowers. Mayer's TE24 rankings assumes his recent 1-2-0 receiving line is a warning. But his healthy snap count suggests a rebound is very doable against the Bills.

Good luck today.
