Welcome Back: FF4W Season #14

And . . . we're back. Season #14 of the Fantasy Football for Winners blog. Have spent the past 5 1/2 months preparing for the next 6 1/2. So let's get started.

If you've been here before, welcome back. Have missed talking fantasy with you all. It's boring doing it by myself in front of a mirror. Thank you being part of this.

If you're new, here's the deal: This community is built on a commitment to help you win your league. That's it. I take a personal interest in everyone who reaches out. If my advice works, I celebrate with you. If I steer you wrong, I genuinely feel bad about it. Then I try to figure out how to do better. Rinse, repeat for the past 13 years.

Starting tomorrow, for the 11th consecutive season, I'll kick off "32 Teams in 32 Days" -- a roughly 600- to 800-word rundown of each team's most relevant fantasy players. At the end of those 32 days, you'll have a pretty strong understanding of the realistic range of outcomes for over 200 offensive players, including (based on ADP) dozens of the biggest bargains and fades. The fantasy market gets a lot of things wrong. Our job is to identify those mistakes before we make them.

Speaking of bargains and fades, my preseason top 350 rankings are ready. I started distributing these to anyone who wanted them back in 2016. Thousands of subscriptions later, it's become a pretty central feature. The rankings are purely donation-based: send whatever you want, and I send you a link to the real-time FF4W rankings, which are updated every day thru the end of the preseason. As many of you know, my rankings include 350 offensive players and their ADP, age, team, position, depth chart positioning, bye week, and bargain/fade status. You can view the whole spreadsheet, and you can also click on the QB, RB, WR, and TE tabs to see the positional breakdowns in isolation.

If you've never subscribed and are wondering what this actually looks like, here's a screenshot of a snippet of today's rankings: www.fantasyfootballforwinners.com/p/ff4w-subscriptions.html. And if you have questions, of course ping me; that's why I'm here.

Something new this year: I'm sharing most of my research with anyone who wants it. For example, sometimes I reference the relationship between RBs' college workloads and their NFL fantasy production. Now you can view all of the raw data yourself, as well as accompanying charts/graphs to help you make high-probability decisions. As with the rankings, it's donation-based, but instead of donating first, you pick a research topic that most interests you. I send you a link to the live data. If you don't like it, don't give a dime; I won't take it personally. If you like it and want to see more research, donate whatever it's worth to you.

Finally, I launched a daily podcast last season, averaging about 7-8 minutes per episode. Today it returns for another 204 daily episodes (thru Week 18). These are quick-hit deep dives into a player or topic that isn't covered on this blog. For example, tomorrow I'll discuss rookie RB Jadarian Price and how his college workload informs his dynasty value, as well as his realistic ceiling this season. Producing these takes a lot more work, and it's completely worth it if enough of you continue to get something out of it.

That's it for the administrative side of things. The next 203 days will be almost entirely about fantasy players' values and their probable season-long / week by week outcomes. It'll be a marathon sprint, if that makes sense. Looking forward to running it with you.
