Ravens -- Saturday: "Two years ago, Lamar Jackson's rushing numbers accounted for 34% of his fantasy production. Last year it was 27%. This year it's 20%. His current health is a factor, but I think it goes beyond that." Sunday: Six carries for scoreless 12 yards, plus an end-of-game kneel-down. The opposing Jets are the only NFL team without an interception and are near the league-bottom with only 19 sacks. This should/could have led to a dominant QB performance. Instead, a supposedly soft late-season schedule might not be soft enough.
Jets -- Saturday: "Adonai Mitchell is auditioning for a starting role in 2026. In his Jets debut last week, he flopped on six targets. Who knows how long he'll be a primary receiving option in a depleted corps." Sunday: He posted a 2-42 receiving line on seven targets. Teammate John Metchie posted a 6-65-1 line on seven targets. Both are former second-round picks. Both have struggled early in their careers. Metchie looks like the only Jets WR to roster.
Chiefs -- Saturday: "Patrick Mahomes was the overall QB1 until Kansas City's schedule got tough. It's still tough. Can he rise to the occasion with a wild card berth no longer a near certainty?" Sunday: Well, they won, and that's good news for managers with KC players who need to have something to play for by Week 17. But it's a step back for a quarterback with multiple tough matchups remaining.
Colts -- Saturday: "Alec Pierce has 14+ points in three of his last four contests and is looking like Daniel Jones's favorite target, with 35 looks in his last four games, compared to only 17 in his other four games." Sunday: A sudden reversal, as Jones averaged a season-low 5.9 yards per throw. Pierce is a field-stretcher, leading the team with 11 20+ yard receptions. Entering the day, the opposing Chiefs' D was giving up the third-highest QB rating, but also the fewest TD passes. It's a bend-not-break defense, and I believe (too late) that forced Jones and this offense to shift away from Pierce. Unfortunately, Indy will face the similarly tough Houston pass D next weekend.
Titans -- Saturday: "Is anyone starting any Tennessee players today? Hard to bet on anyone getting double-digit points, including Cam Ward." Sunday: Turns out both Cam Ward and Chimere Dike produced must-start numbers, while rookie TE Gunnar Helm had a career day with a solid 6-51 line. A massive step in the right direction for a young roster with virtually no running game and nowhere to go but up.
Seahawks -- Saturday: "In the nine games they've played in together, [Kenneth] Walker is averaging 14.8 touches compared to Zach Charbonnet's 12.7. Not a huge difference. But Charbonnet's poor running (3.3 yards per carry) is more than a full yard worse than Walker's." Sunday: Walker had 14 touches compared to Charbonnet's six, but Charbonnet got the TD. There's still not enough daylight between them to start Walker with confidence.
Packers -- Saturday: "Who will be Jordan Love's #1 receiver?" Sunday: Christian Watson by default, as Green Bay's defense and Emanuel Wilson took care of the rest. This is still a run-friendly fantasy team most weeks, especially near the goal line. That makes it even harder for Watson and his WR teammates to break through.
Vikings -- Saturday: "Some of you are holding your breath that Justin Jefferson is still a must-start WR. Another loss paired with another dismal JJ McCarthy outing would mostly dash Minnesota's playoff hopes, and also would raise bigger questions about their QB heading into 2026." Sunday: From the outside looking in, it seems this team should bench McCarthy for the rest of the season. He's looked progressively worse each game. Fantasy managers with Jefferson (and to a lesser extent, Jordan Addison and TJ Hockenson) are in a tough bind.
Lions -- Jahmyr Gibbs nearly broke Jamaal Charles' record for most RB fantasy points in a game. He's now averaging 23.5 points per contest -- 2.2 points higher than last season, when he was the overall RB1. He also out-touched David Montgomery 26-8, suggesting we might see a lot more Montgomery on Thursday.
Giants -- Saturday: "Another dose of Jameis Winston. Last week he played pretty conservatively. Let's see if he's forced to open things up (for better or for worse) in Detroit." Sunday: It was classic Winston in the best and not-so-best ways. Looking longer-term, Wan'Dale Robinson is up to 14.9 points per game despite scoring only three times. He still has room to grow.
Bengals -- Saturday: "With Ja'Marr Chase suspended, Andrei Iosivas has an opening to continue developing into the next iteration of Tyler Boyd: a #3 WR with stand-alone fantasy value." Sunday: He posted a solid 4-61-0 receiving line, and with Tee Higgins suffering a potential concussion, Iosivas would be in line for another start (with Ja'Marr Chase and likely Joe Burrow returning) on Thursday.
Patriots -- Saturday: "Will a returning Rhamondre Stevenson have any impact on TreVeyon Henderson's production, or has that ship sailed?" Sunday: It's sailed, and that should put this season-long issue to rest.
Bears -- Saturday: "The formerly high-flying Rome Odunze has been nearly invisible in four of his last six contests. Notably, he averaged only five targets in those four games versus 10 in each of the other two (highly productive) games." Sunday: He rebounded with nine targets but didn't do much with them, and a rebounding DJ Moore should be concerning for managers wanting must-start clarity. Also notably, Kyle Monangai out-touched and out-played D'Andre Swift, who had his first sub-9-point performance all year.
Steelers -- Saturday: "DK Metcalf is one of the league's most underutilized #1 WRs, thanks in part to a TE group on pace for 163 combined targets." Sunday: A rushing TD salvaged what would have been another minor disaster. It's been an ugly month for managers expecting more after he scored in five of his first six games.
Cardinals -- Saturday: "There's no way Michael Wilson can replicate last week's breakout, right? If he does it again, then those rostering Marvin Harrison Jr. are in a bit more trouble." Sunday: Today's podcast episode touches on this, as Wilson won't simply revert to a tertiary role when Harrison returns.
Jaguars -- Saturday: "Trevor Lawrence's passing numbers are slightly worse than last year's, but he's somehow still fantasy-relevant thanks to a greater dual-threat commitment (4.9 carries per game compared to 2.6 last year)." Sunday: Four turnovers and 17.1 fantasy points. He's playing poorly, and yet he's doing just enough to remain relevant.
Raiders -- Saturday: "Last week, Tre Tucker got back on track with his first touchdown and first 8+ target outing since Week 3. Maybe a sign of things to come. Maybe . . ." Sunday: He converted a team-high 10 targets into a measly 3-28-0 receiving line. He's still not a true #1 WR.
Browns -- Saturday: "Just like Vegas and Ashton Jeanty, Cleveland is seeing what happens when you invest draft capital in an impact RB without addressing holes at QB and the offensive line. Quinshon Judkins is averaging only 3.2 yards per carry in his last five contests." Sunday: 2.9 yards per carry and zero targets. Two touchdowns made all the difference.
Saints -- Alvin Kamara exited early, opening the door for rookie Devin Neal, who ran poorly, but who collected five catches for 43 yards on seven targets. He caught 77 passes in college. If Kamara sits in Week 13, Neal would be a solid dart throw against Miami.
Falcons -- Saturday: "Kirk Cousins is back, and of course he's not the same Cousins of 2+ years ago. There's a legitimate chance that only Bijan Robinson will crack 12 points." Sunday: Cousins, Robinson, and Darnell Mooney led Atlanta 14.5, 14.7, and 16.4 points, respectively. More specifically, Robinson has now scored 18+ points in only one of his last five games. By comparison, he scored 18+ in eight of his previous nine games.
Cowboys -- Saturday: "There was some great push-back last week as I questioned whether CeeDee Lamb is still Dallas's clear-cut #1 WR, and also whether he's still elite. The reality is that in their last four games together, Lamb is out-targeting Pickens 37 to 35, and Pickens is outscoring Lamb 70.3 to 69.7." Sunday: Pickens crushed it. Lamb didn't. CeeDee's career-high drop rate isn't helping.
Eagles -- Saturday: "As usual, can we trust AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith at the same time?" Sunday: Yes, primarily because Jalen Hurts threw it 39 times -- his highest total since Week 13 of the 2023 season. That's not sustainable.
Rams -- Saturday: "In his five games pre-injury, Puka Nacua averaged a 10-118 receiving line on 12.4 targets. Since returning in early November, he's averaging 6-78 on 7.3 targets." Sunday: His 11 targets were his highest since Week 5, and his 97 yards were his highest since Week 4.
Buccaneers -- Saturday: "Chris Godwin's anticipated return will shake up this receiving corps. It's probably bad news for everyone, including the longtime must-start Godwin." Sunday: A disastrous night where only Tez Johnson was relevant, and where Baker Mayfield got hurt. If Teddy Bridgewater has to start next week, it'll surely be a net negative for every receiver, as well as the backfield.
