By tonight, many of us will know if our teams are good enough to compete for a title, or if we need to retool. Week 1 offered clues which might or might not be facts. Week 2 will get us closer to facts. Without Offensive Coordinator Ben Johnson, can the Lions' offense remain elite? Do the Chargers really have three fantasy-startable WRs? Could Derrick Henry collect the most fantasy points in a season by a 31+ year-old?
(I believe 31-year-old Walter Payton holds the record with 320.2 in 1985.)
And seemingly each season there's at least one "the-end-is-near" wideout who's shown no signs of decline . . . until now. Brandon Marshall went from perennially near-elite (thru 2015) to unstartable beginning in 2016. The same for Allen Robinson a few years later -- from dependable thru 2020 to "Ugh, should I keep him one more week?" in 2021.
For various reasons on and off the field, Tyreek Hill is at least a small candidate for "t-e-i-n" status. And although Cooper Kupp's value wasn't overly high this summer, one should be at least moderately concerned about his rest-of-season prospects if he underwhelms in Pittsburgh.
As always, check out today's podcast if you want another 6-7 minutes of fantasy perspectives (and yesterday's if you want a couple of DFS lineups), and good luck today.
