Week 9-10 Sunday-Thursday RBs

When Robbie Lange offered me Jalen Tolbert for Justice Hill a couple days ago, I accepted without too much hesitation. We compete in a league with two flex spots, and it's sometimes hard to fill them, especially during bye weeks. I'm strong at RB, but with no Tee Higgins or Jameson Williams, I was desperate for a fill-in. Tolbert is a decent enough streamer.

But then yesterday I realized the Ravens and are playing next Thursday. That means if the nearly 31-year-old Derrick Henry gets a lot of work today, Hill might be in line for more work later in the week. The last time Baltimore played on a short week (six days instead of four), Hill earned a healthy eight touches in the first leg. So yeah, he's a desperation streamer today if the Ravens pull back a bit on Henry's workload, or a desperation streamer Thursday if Henry hits, say, around 22 or more touches.

Baltimore will play Cincy in four days, and that means Chase Brown is a tiny bit riskier than usual, although Zack Moss's absence will help. Trayveon Williams should back up Brown today, while rookie Kendall Milton might make an appearance. Milton's actually been on the Bengals' practice squad since August and was promoted to the active roster for the first time yesterday.

Facing the increasingly beleaguered Raiders, Cincinnati appears to be the better team on paper. If they're up double-digits by halftime, I'd be shocked if Brown does much more in the second half until/unless Vegas closes the gap, because Thursday's faceoff in Baltimore has major playoff implications.

And keep an eye on the weather in Green Bay, where current forecasts call for rain and wind gusts up to 29 MPH. I wouldn't be overly concerned, since "gusts" are situational, and in general the wind should be a more playable 10-15 MPH. But if you have a coin flip lineup decision, less-than-ideal weather should be factored in.

Good luck today.
