Week 12-13 Sunday-Thursday RBs

Thursday was yet another reminder that anything can happen, even when an 8-2 team plays a 2-8 team. There are seven realistically potential blowouts on the docket tomorrow. If you're looking for deep-league fliers, you could do much worse than a #3 WR on a team favored to win by at least a touchdown -- and there are many of those this week.

As for running backs to watch out for, there are of course three upcoming Thanksgiving matchups, as well as a Friday game. For the Lions, it shouldn't have too much of an impact, since David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs can do a lot of damage even with 12-14 touches. Assuming D'Andre Swift plays, be wary of how Chicago uses him alongside Roschon Johnson. Swift at less than 100% is a major risk with his next game four days away.

For the Cowboys vs. Giants later this week, Rico Dowdle is the customary TD-dependent RB we've come to know. Tyrone Tracy is a much better bet to hit 16+ touches on a team that's going nowhere *and* sizing up their backfield needs ahead of 2025.

For the Packers vs. Dolphins on Thursday, I'm comfortable betting on Josh Jacobs today as usual. He's had only 37 touches this month and brings too much upside. That said, if he gets something like 25 or more touches, you might run out and add Emmanuel Wilson on Wednesday. And for Miami, I'm wondering what happens if De'Von Achane handles a full load. Today's opposing Patriots are yielding a healthy 4.7 YPC to RBs. The Dolphins probably *should* win by 10+ points. Will they mix in Raheem Mostert and/or Jaylen Wright more than usual, prepping Achane for a heavier load on Thursday?

Finally, the Chiefs and Raiders also will be on a short (five-day) week. All eyes should be on Isiah Pacheco, who's a poor bet to get tons of touches in both contests. If he gets 20+ today, I'm pushing him outside my top 20 on Friday. If he gets 12-14 today (more likely in my opinion), then he should be good to go on Friday.

Good luck today.
