Biggest Week 3 Monday Fantasy Storylines

Week 3 is here, and for much of this morning I won't be. Here's hoping there are no last-minute inactives.

Also, some thoughts on tomorrow's MNF doubleheader. For the Bills vs. Jags, my focus is on Trevor Lawrence and Christian Kirk. It seems inconceivable that their slump will continue beyond tomorrow. But yeah, tomorrow in Buffalo could be tough. Also, it'll be fascinating to see if Tank Bigsby keeps pushing for a strong 1B role behind Travis Etienne. I'm still banking on it.

Six of Ray Davis's 10 touches last weekend were in garbage time. Will he carve out something consistent behind James Cook? And Dawson Knox actually out-snapped Dalton Kincaid in Week 2, which is a reminder that snap count isn't everything. With a receiving corps that lacks a true alpha (Khalil Shakir is the leader for now), Kincaid is a great buy low in deep leagues.

The other contest features a Bengals squad that almost assuredly will beat Washington. Jayden Daniels looks like the real deal, and the Commanders' backfield is in prime form. But is Terry McLaurin no longer a top-35 WR? I believe he'll be fine, and also who knows in an offense led by a run-friendly rookie, and where the nearly 34-year-old Zach Ertz still has value.

The biggest question in Cincinnati (fantasy-wise) is whether Tee Higgins is still no worse than a streamer. At his best, he can be a top-10 guy. And yet, he cracked 90 receiving yards only three times last season, compared to an impressive six times in 2022 (when Ja'Marr Chase missed four games) and five times in 2021 (when Chase played in every game). At only 25 years old, is Higgins post-prime?

Good luck today.
