Reports overnight from reports Ian Rapoport (NFL Network), Tom Pelissero (NFL Network), and Adam Schefter (ESPN), in no particular order:
Rams -- Zach Evans appears to be a longshot to manufacture meaningful fantasy production, because Darrell Henderson and Royce Freeman are expected to carry the load. Shared with some of you yesterday that Henderson was my favorite Rams RB dart throw, simply because I don't trust the other two. Not that Henderson can suddenly dominate. But he knows the offense, is adept in the passing game, and 10 of his last 11 touchdowns have come from inside the eight-yard line. If you need the most boom (along with the normal bust), he's the guy.
Raiders -- For all you Superflexers, Brian Hoyer is expected to start. The matchup is dang good, with the opposing Bears producing only nine sacks on the year (tied for the second-fewest). Plan for plenty of dump-offs to Josh Jacobs, and for Davante Adams to get fed (12+ targets).
Packers -- Aaron Jones "intends to play." What does that mean? Chaos. If you don't have a reliable top-20 RB, I'd go Jones if he's active. The upside is too high.
Giants -- More Superflex news: Tyrod Taylor is poised to start in a plus home matchup against Washington. As with Vegas, I expect Taylor to lean heavily on Saquon Barkley, though Wan'Dale Robinson and Darius Slayton are solid streamers, Jalin Hyatt is an adequate very-deep-league flyer, and Darren Waller *hopefully* gets 10+ points.
49ers -- Christian McCaffrey remains questionable for Monday night. Probably better than 50/50. Most managers might not have much choice but to roll with him and live with the consequences, unless you're in a shallow enough league with Jordan Mason and/or Elijah Mitchell are available. And Deebo Samuel's "day-to-day" injury is now week-to-week. He could be out until Week 10.
Seahawks -- D.K. Metcalf remains a game-time decision. I actually have Metcalf, and my opponent is starting Tyler Lockett. So this could be doubly painful. If you're in a shallow enough league, Jaxon Smith-Njigba is a solid pickup this morning in case Metcalf can't go. Ultra-deep leaguers could turn to Jake Bobo, though that's truly a shot in the dark. In the end, Lockett and Kenneth Walker would be the biggest winners.
Regarding DFS lineups, who the heck knows. Seriously. Sharing these at 6:30am knowing how dramatically values could change pre-kickoff is like trying to guess the weather three weeks from now. DFS requires precision, and there's not yet enough to go on. Henderson doesn't even have a price in DraftKings.
But let's go for it. For the early games, I've got Tyrod Taylor, Saquon Barkley, Josh Jacobs, Davante Adams, Wan'Dale Robinson, Darius Slayton, Mark Andrews, Drake London, and the Ravens DST. For the later-afternoon games, I've got Patrick Mahomes, Isiah Pacheco, Kenneth Walker, Cooper Kupp, Joshua Palmer, Rashee Rice, Trey McBride, Michael Wilson, and the Seahawks DST.
Good luck today.
Meanwhile, K.C. is rolling once again with Isiah Pacheco, with Jerick McKinnon and Clyde Edwards-Helaire filling in the gaps. In a blowout win, CEH could get some fantasy love. But clearly the only seemingly safe bet is Pacheco. Remember this summer when I poo-poo'd McKinnon? It was because I didn't thi
