So what's next? We're in somewhat uncharted territory, made even more emotionally complex by the fact that football will be played again soon. Five AFC teams are competing for two playoff spots. Three NFC teams are competing for one spot. Somehow, hundreds of players and their coaching staffs have to get emotionally and mentally prepared. For their teammates. For their fans. For their own sense of personal and professional fulfillment.
