DFS 50/50 Lineup of the Week

Sunday . . . is . . . here. Don't forget about the Munich game starting at 9:30am Eastern. In the Rams-Cardinals game, as of midnight, Matthew Stafford appears to be doubtful, while Kyler Murray is on the doubtful side of questionable, if that makes sense. If Murray sits, I really like the Rams D at home for obvious reasons. And of course, if both QBs sit, Cooper Kupp and DeAndre Hopkins would be streamers at best--and that might be generous.

Josh Allen's expected to play. How well? Obviously, who knows. But as important as this game is, I don't think Buffalo would throw him out there if he were a higher-than-normal risk of greater injury. I'd still start Stefon Diggs with confidence, while Gabe Davis (and his atrocious sub-50% catch rate) remains a great boom-bust or desperate managers. But starting Allen as a 22+ point option? 16-20 points seems more realistic.

For San Francisco, I'm debaing whether to start Elijah Mitchell, because my RBs have been awful since my Javonte Williams / Melvin Gordon strategy blew up in Week 4. No team is worse against the run than the Chargers, who've yielded 5.7 yards per carry. In a comfortable win (which I'm expecting, Mitchell could get 10+ touches. But . . . he wasn't a huge threat in the passing game last year, so he might not be better than a TD-dependent option.

And for those interested, my DFS 50/50 Lineup of the Week for FanDuel is Patrick Mahomes, Najee Harris, Jaylen Warren, Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, George Pickens, Greg Dulcich, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Steelers DST. I'm taking the relatively cheap Pittsburgh RB stack in the belief they'll combine for 26+ DFS points, including at least one score. This team has had a week to think about how to turn their season around. I expect a better functioning offense.

For you DraftKings people, this lineup doesn't quite fit. So I'm recommending the cheaper Justin Fields over Mahomes, and the cheaper Tanner Hudson over Dulcich. Who's Tanner Hudson? A terrific flier if you don't have a reliable 7+ point TE. With Daniel Bellinger still sidelined, Hudson could one again lead the Giants' TE corps alongside a barely sub-middling WR corps. The matchup is favorable enough. I'm not expecting greatness. But if Daniel Jones throws one to the end zone, Hudson has as good a shot as any Giant (aside from Saquon Barkley) to be on the receiving end.

Good luck today. No, *great* luck. And skill. You're doing all you can. The rest is up to the players who'll never know our names, nor hear our cries of victory. But somewhere deep down, they surely know you're rooting for them.
