Back by minimal demand, the DFS 50/50 Lineup of the Week. As I've shared before, these have been tough to construct in the early hours of Sunday morning, because a lot of guys have questionable tags. So I might ignore the ultra-cheap Kalif Raymond thinking Amon-Ra St. Brown will start. Then St. Brown's declared inactive two hours before the game (don't worry, this is hypothetical), and suddenly I'm wishing I'd recommended Raymond.
Then there's the ripple effect. By downgrading from another player to Raymond, I could have upgraded other slots. And so, a lineup that's carefully constructed before the opening kickoff no longer looks as good. And because I'm competing against people who are setting "better" lineups based on info that comes out later in the morning . . . you can see why it's hard to feel confident about all this.
Last Sunday, Dustin Mathews asked if I had a 50/50 lineup. So at around 10am or 11am Eastern I pulled one together and included it in my response: Burrow, Zeke, Pollard, Evans, Higgins, CeeDee, Otton, A. Pierce, and Bucs DST. It hit well, also finishing "in the money" in the tournament I entered, which is equivalent to the top 22%.
So now I'm feeling overly confident, which never ends well. But on the whole, this DraftKings lineup for 1pm games shouldn't experience any pre-game surprises:
Kirk Cousins, Alvin Kamara, Tony Pollard, Chris Olave, DaVonta Smith, Jaylen Waddle, Dalton Schultz, Pat Freiermuth (Flex), and Cowboys DST. Schultz is questionable, but is expected to be fine. It's a nagging injury, and he played through it last week, netting 9.3 DFS points. He's also cheap. If he's a surprising inactive before the game, I'd swap him out for the slightly cheaper Irv Smith.
If you prefer FanDuel, this lineup also fits within the salary cap, with money to spare. So I'd suggest the same players, except swapping out Freiermuth for the higher-ceiling D.J. Moore.
And as always, there are single-game DFS lineups for each matchup today on the PFN website, as well as all the other usual NFL content. For DFS this season, I've hit 65% of the more than 100 DFS 50/50's, and have hit 41% of DFS tournaments (again, this means finishing roughly in the top 22%). Everything's in writing on the PFN site. Just like on this page, if I bomb, you'll all see it. And if I do well, you'll see it (hopefully).
Remember to set your lineups early for the London game, and good luck today.
