Ready for Sunday? Yes, we're all ready for Sunday. Good luck today. I'll be offline most of the day--not for lack of interest, but because of life. If you have questions, I should be able to answer many of them early this morning. By mid-morning, things will be spottier thru the opening kickoffs. So as always, feel free to share your wisdom with others. We'll continue to learn from each other.
I have two suggested 50/50 DFS lineups for 1pm Eastern games--one FanDuel, and the other DraftKings:
For FanDuel, I'm recommending Tom Brady, Damien Harris, Rhamondre Stevenson, Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis, Mike Evans, David Njoku, Curtis Samuel, and Bills. As you can see, there are two hedges and one stack. The Patriots backfield has a great shot at rolling over the hapless Lions defense, which is giving up the most yards per carry in the league. Diggs and Davis should combine for 30+ fantasy points against a sub-par Steelers pass defense that likely will have trouble moving the ball against Buffalo. And I like the Brady-Evans stack against a beatable Falcons D.
In the DraftKings lineup, Diggs is significantly more expensive. So the way to make it work within the salary cap is to "downgrade" Diggs to Godwin. This creates a fascinating Brady-Evans-Godwin stack. Some might say that's a bad approach for 50/50s. I believe otherwise, in that I'll gladly bet on a passing attack that *should* dominate.
For those interested in more DFS content, I write 16 DFS articles per week for Pro Football Network--one for each game. All are done through DraftKings and can be found on "Betting/DFS" tab on the PFN website. Full disclosure: last week, 10 won in 50/50s, and I broke even in tournaments, with my best one finishing 26th out of nearly 4,000 competitors. As you probably know, there's a system. It doesn't always work. But on balance, it works more often than not.
Good luck today, and I'll look forward to weighing in on any questions early this morning.
