Huge day today for (I imagine) everyone here, unless you're here for a virtual community that isn't about parenting or food prep, which is fine too.
As always, if you have sit/start questions or any other questions, ask below. I'll do my best to give my two cents, with degrees of confidence for tougher questions (often there are no obvious answers, as we all know). And if any of you have strong opinions, of course share them. Let's keep learning from each other.
Also, I haven't been doing 50/50 DFS Lineups of the Week since the middle of last season, because there are so many questionable players these days--and I mean, *truly* questionable players. Since I publish these Sundays at 6:00am Eastern, there's often no way to know who the best bargains will be until team actives/inactives are publicized much later in the morning.
That said, I'm going to give it a shot. This lineup leaves out all questionable players and their backups. It's a 50/50 lineup for all 1pm Eastern games, and all prices are based on FanDuel scoring:
QB Lamar Jackson ($8,200) -- Highest-upside QB of the opening games. Also the most expensive. Not much doubt here.
RB Jonathan Taylor ($10,000) -- Most expensive RB. Revenge game from Week 18 last season. Strong multi-TD potential.
RB Nyheim Hines ($5,500) -- I'm probably starting him in my league flex spot over CeeDee Lamb (sorry / you're welcome, Joe). Terrific price in a favorable matchup, particularly with Michael Pittman on the shelf.
WR Amon-Ra St. Brown ($6,900) -- Can't justify benching him against Washington. He's one of the best September fantasy/DFS WRs, period.
WR D.J. Chark ($5,700) -- Terrific price for a #2 WR in a favorable matchup. I don't care that he's also on the Lions. Points are points. Detroit posted 35 last week. They can do it again.
WR Christian Kirk ($6,500) -- Brandin Cooks looked good against Indy last week. Kirk can do at least as well this week. He and Trevor Lawrence already look fairly locked in.
TE Pat Freiermuth ($5,400) -- Publicly loved him last season, this summer (overall TE6), and last week. What's not to love?
FLEX Kareem Hunt ($7,000) -- Assuming Cleveland wins fairly comfortably, I'm expecting Hunt to do what he does best against the Jets.
D/ST Browns -- Again, facing the Jets. It's not that New York is "bad." But with Joe Flacco at QB on the road, anything is possible, where "anything" is more likely to be "worse than good."
Speaking of "good," good luck today.
