Final Thoughts for Sunday Week 17

One thing I've learned the hard way is not to change my lineup five minutes before the opening kickoff. A member of this community got burned by a last-minute change last week. When I make last-minute changes, it usually goes poorly. It's like planning a car trip in detail, and then after starting the car, deciding to test out a shortcut.

So all I can say heading into today's games is (a) I don't feel entirely confident with my lineup decisions, and (b) I don't *have* to feel entirely confident. The point, I think, is to have peace of mind that we're giving ourselves the best chance to win. If we make that decision at 8:00am and there's no new contrary evidence before lineups are frozen, then I suggest sticking with that decision. Because I'd rather lose with an 8:00am lineup than lose with a revised 12:55pm lineup brought on by an impulsive, last-minute, "Oh, what the hell" decision. Those last-minute calls aren't usually the most thought out.

Good luck to everyone competing. I'm here with the other PFN analysts this morning to give our two cents if you have questions. Longtime community experts like Matt Weavil and Joel Verzosa continue to pop in with their thoughts, which I always appreciate. Others like Richard Schneider continually offer thoughtful perspectives.

We're all here for each other. So let's go out there and win today. Win for pride. Win for money. Win for bragging rights. Win for Betty White.
