If you read both my column and Katz's yesterday, you got nearly 3,000 words of fantasy content. Add in this morning's newsletter for those of you subscribing, and that brings us to 4,000. So I think you've read enough for 24 hours. If I'm wrong, please tell me, and we'll go for 5,000 next weekend.
Correction from yesterday: I'm taking the Steelers +4.5 (they're underdogs, not favorites). Thanks Chris Polen for your eagle-eye and eagle-brain. (Somehow, eagle-brain doesn't seem like a compliment, but I meant it as one, so let's leave it at that.)
For those interested in DFS lineups, as alluded to before, they now appear on PFN's website every Sunday, Monday, and Thursday about 2-3 hours before the opening kickoffs. Instead of 50-50, I'm switching to tournaments. Last Monday one of my two lineups hit perfectly (all five of the top scorers). So I'm continually refining my approach after underperforming to start this season, and it seems to be getting back on track. One day at a time, as people sometimes say. So check out the PFN website later this morning for my two optimal DFS plays. Hint: one assumes a major rebound for Pittsburgh's passing attack against Baltimore, and the other assumes Seattle's passing game gets back on track. Go big or go home, right?
We are here to weigh in on any start/sit questions you have. You don't need to hear me say it, but I'll keep saying it: you all make this community great. Keep speaking up. Keep challenging us. Keep answering each other when you feel inspired. And it's a joy for us to read your questions and really think about what we believe and why we believe it. Personally, I like feeling that I don't know enough to answer something; it motivates me to stay hungry, learn more, and return with something useful to share.
Kick butt today, except you Johnny Green. (I'm playing against Johnny Green).
