Latest Fantasy News

A quick post today, since Thanksgiving is around the corner and a lot of people are traveling and/or focused on other things. Tomorrow will be different with three games on the Thursday slate. But for today, a slight breather.

Several interesting developments yesterday, including Tennessee cutting Adrian Peterson. The only surprise is that he was signed in the first place. But this could finally be the end of an era, as I doubt he catches on with another franchise. He's basically a 3.0 YPC RB these days with minimal pass-catching chops. His absence means D'Onta Foreman and Dontrell Hilliard will compete for a lead-back role, while a healthy Jeremy McNichols would contribute in the passing game. A few weeks ago my money was on Foreman. Now it's a little tougher to know, given what we saw out of Hilliard last week.

The Saints' backfield is as murky as ever, and we'll talk through this more tomorrow morning. Alvin Kamara and Melvin Ingram appear questionable for Thursday. Is it time to queue up Tony Jones? We'll see. Regardless, against the Bills, anyone not named Alvin could have a tough time this week.

Zach Wilson is returning for the Jets, and Joe Flacco is now on the COVID list. So things are back to how they were pre-Wilson's injury, except Elijah Moore is now a legit fantasy asset, and Michael Carter's injury opens the door for Tevin Coleman and Ty Johnson to cancel each other out.

Finally, Eric Ebron could be out for the season. This means one of my favorite undervalued TEs from a few weeks ago, Pat Freiermuth, is poised to get a meaningful fantasy bump. He looked terrific while Ebron was sidelined earlier this year and could be the Steelers' #4 offensive option.
