A quick look at this tweaked page, and one thing is clear: Pro Football Network is much better at graphics than I'll ever be.
OK, back to the usual stuff. Big news today, and big non-news.
Chris Godwin looks iffy for Sunday. I picked up Tyler Johnson before the news hit (total coincidence; I don't have a special red phone or anything). I strongly encourage all of you to add Johnson, too. With Antonio Brown and Rob Gronkowski likely out, Johnson could build off his impressive showing from last week. And of course, Mike Evans and Leonard Fournette could go bananas. They're facing Washington.
Damien Harris and Rhamondre Stevenson still aren't practicing. They could be game-time decisions. Brandon Bolden and J.J. Taylor are must-adds in most leagues, with Bolden clearly offering more PPR value based on 2021 usage.
Mike White is healthy and will earn another start, this time against the vaunted Bills' defense. White is one six players I'm highlighting this coming Sunday morning in my PFN fantasy newsletter, "Table for 6." There are surprisingly huge fantasy and on-the-field implications--including for Elijah Moore and Corey Davis--if White fares well once again.
Noah Fant has been removed from the reserve/COVID list, so he should be fine for his next game. As with most non-elite TEs, he's been hit-or-miss most weeks. And with Jerry Jeudy back in the fold, it could take an injury for Fant (currently the 9th-highest-scoring TE) to be a top-10 TE the rest of the season.
Sammy Watkins is expected to return for Thursday Night Football. This isn't highly meaningful news on its own, but if you consider how he might negatively impact Rashod Bateman in particular, it matters. As I've been saying for weeks, I like Bateman eventually being Lamar Jackson's #1 receiver this season. But Thursday will be a big test to see not only if he can thrive, but if he can remain fantasy relevant.
Finally, the Lions signed Josh Reynolds. Yes, he was a somewhat promising fourth-round prospect in 2017. And he's reuniting with Jared Goff. But let's be candid: the Lions' passing attack can support D'Andre Swift, T.J. Hockenson, and maybe one wideout each week. Amon-Ra St. Brown and Kalif Raymond are still there. Yes, Reynolds could become a TD-dependent WR5 on a team averaging one TD pass to a wideout every two games.
