Most Notable Fantasy Impacts of Week 12's Sunday Games

Jumping right into each Sunday team's most notably fantasy impact:

Falcons vs. Raiders -- Brian Hill fell flat, and Ito Smith picked up the slack. at one point earning touches on 10 of 11 plays.  If Todd Gurley misses more time, Ito has the edge at the 1A spot.  And a disastrous effort from the Raiders, though if you cut through the five turnovers, Hunter Renfrow had his best performance since September and has the talent to keep it going.

Bills vs. Chargers -- If John Brown remains sidelined, keep an eye on Cole Beasley and Gabriel Davis will be solid streamers in a relatively top-heavy receiving corps.  And Austin Ekeler dominated in his return--a reminder of how good this offense can be with a versatile RB playmaker (and if the playcalling doesn't border on insane).

Bengals vs. Giants -- Brandon Allen was pretty bad as expected, and he'll probably be worse next week in Miami.  There's room for only one receiver to get going in this offense, and yesterday it was Tee Higgins.  And if Daniel Jones can't start next week, all receivers and even Wayne Gallman will take hits with Colt McCoy under center.

Colts vs. Titans -- T.Y. Hilton finally got going, though the bigger story might be the collapse of the normally stout Indy DST in what might have been their last supposedly "fantasy startable" matchup.  And Ryan Tannehill was merely adequate despite his team's dominating performance, making it six straight games of mostly solid--but hardly exceptional--fantasy performances after a sterling start to the season.

Vikings vs. Panthers -- Olabisi Johnson and Chad Beebe came through and are certainly in the streaming conversation if Adam Thielen (or Justin Jefferson) miss time going forward.  And Mike Davis was barely middling in what could be his final start of the season (unless Carolina decides to keep CMC on ice until next summer).  Also, we'll see if D.J. Moore's leg injury is serious.

Patriots vs. Cardinals -- James White made the most of Rex Burkhead's absence, while Kenyan Drake trudged his way to a big fantasy day despite running very poorly for the fifth time in seven games.

Jets vs. Dolphins -- Whether it was Adam Gase's playcalling or Sam Darnold's poor play (or a combination of the two), this was an awful effort for the Jets.  Joe Flacco should be back under center.  And Ryan Fitzpatrick came through and should be a capable streamer with plenty of upside going forward.

Jaguars vs. Browns -- James Robinson is the best back on a terrible team since . . . I can't say Barry Sanders.  But Robinson is on the verge of being the best UFDA rookie back in NFL history.  And Jarvis Landry finally had a game to write home about.  We'll see if it's a sign of things to come.

Broncos vs. Saints -- Phillip Lindsay hurt his knee, and the entire Denver organization hurt the NFL--or vice versa.  This game shouldn't have happened.  But of course it had to given the financial stakes.  Presumably one of Denver's depth-chart QBs will be ready for the next one, though the outcome still won't be good enough.  And Taysom Hill's limitations were on full display, fantasy-wise.  He definitely gives his team a good chance to win, but he's waiting to be exposed if a defense can contain the run.

Rams vs. 49ers -- Cam Akers took another step forward taking over this backfield.  And Raheem Mostert is back.

Buccaneers vs. Chiefs -- Ronald Jones continued to pull away from Leonard Fournette, while Tyreek Hill went bonkers and now is far and away the #1 fantasy WR and is the #2 flex player behind Alvin Kamara.

Packers vs. Bears -- Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams each had 17 carries, and not just because the game got out of hand early.  Williams is clearly a top-5 handcuff and a stand-alone option for RB-needy managers.  And David Montgomery came up big after weeks/months of underperforming.  Here's hoping he's utilized the way he should have been all season.
