For those who didn't hear, the Chargers' Week 10 bye has been moved to next week. That's good news for those with Keenan Allen, as he has an extra week to rest his back, which knocked him out last night, paving the way for the long-awaited fantasy return of Mike Williams. So before you run pick up Williams, you'll need to have room to stash him, and you'll need to hope Keenan sits Week 7.
The same goes for Justin Jackson, who took the lead in his backfield battle with Joshua Kelley. It doesn't make much sense to burn a high waiver pick on Jackson, who (a) has a tenuous hold on the 1A job, at best, and (b) was all set to play the Jets and Dolphins the next two weeks before COVID pushed those two games back. In other words, it would've been easier for him to strengthen his positioning against two more beatable D's. Instead, he'll have to prove himself against the Jags and Broncos after the bye.
For New Orleans, Drew Brees needs Michael Thomas back before he can be seriously considered a top-12 QB. After next week's puff matchup against Carolina, he'll face the Bears, Bucs, and Niners. Alvin Kamara has accounted for 29% of the Saints' receiving yards. It's still unclear whether Brees has regressed enough where Michael Thomas is no longer a top-5 WR--particularly if Emmanuel Sanders is a legit #2.
As for tonight, not sure if it's the first Tuesday Night Football in history (maybe the USFL did 'em this way), but what a bizarrely fascinating contest: two undefeated teams competing for a #1 seed in the AFC. Despite their talent, Buffalo is an overrated 4-0 with narrow wins against the Rams, Raiders, and Dolphins and a moderately easy victory over the hapless Jets. Beyond another imminent Jets game, their schedule is about to get a lot tougher.
Tennessee has been even luckier, with all three of their wins coming by a combined six points. But they've been missing A.J. Brown for their past two contests, and with Corey Davis and Adam Humphries out, he could be the evening's #1 fantasy wideout on both sides of the field. And for the desperate among you, Kalif Raymond is the two-catch-for-70-yard flyer you've been searching for.
