Welcome Back

Welcome back, everybody. As alluded to a couple weeks ago, this season's FF4W blog will be different in a lot of ways. On the one hand, I want to make it as normal as possible: the annual "32 Teams in 32 Days" columns, unconventional preseason predictions, DFS 50/50 lineups, etc.

On the other hand, more than any other time, this season will be about community. There's been a lot of social separation for months. A marked decline in escapist activities like sports. A lot of job layoffs and foreclosures and general medical and economic upheaval. It hasn't been an enjoyable time for many of us, and it's been downright agonizing for some of us.

I checked in with my longtime FF4W cohorts (many of whom will play more prominent roles this year). We want this to remain a familiar place where statistics are analyzed, assumptions are challenged, and questions are answered. We also want to throw more questions at you--to get more conversation going on players, positions, teams, etc. Any given day, you might have the best insights on this page; we want to hear it.

Tomorrow I'll kick things off with the first of 32 team rundowns. If you know something I don't, or think something I'm not thinking, make it known. If it's something others are thinking too, it could become great fodder for additional discussion on the page. Or down the road we could devote a full day to more fully dissecting that single concept.

Also, keep an eye on the Fantasy Football for Winners webpage. I hope that'll become the main FF4W destination as soon as next season. This year nine fantastic fantasy minds are willing to share their expertise on that site. Go check out what they're saying, and if something jumps out at you, whether you agree or disagree, shout it out on the Facebook blog.

No one knows whether this season will happen, or what form it might take if it does. So for now, let's just enjoy reconnecting and talking football.
