(Almost) Welcome Back

Um, what's new?

No doubt, it's been an insane few months. For some it's been a pretty challenging time. For others an incredibly difficult time. So first off, hoping you're all holding up okay. That sounds trite, but it's all I've got at the moment. Looking forward to connecting with many of you this season, hearing how you're doing, etc.

In a typical year, FF4W would start back up the day after the end of the NBA Finals. Game 4 was scheduled for yesterday. So this seems like a good day to send a quick note.

My plan is for FF4W to officially return on Monday, June 29. On the surface, things will look similar to previous seasons. I'll continue publishing daily content at 6:00am Eastern highlighting bargains and busts, interesting news, and under-the-radar stats, and all that jazz. Also, just as with the past few years, all Facebook content also will appear on the Fantasy Football for Winners website. I started the website with the intention of eventually moving the FF4W community there. That might happen as soon as 2021. That now depends how this season works out.

Speaking of the website, FF4W has added nine writers who are willing to offer exclusive web content throughout the season: Ross Fessenden, Chris Heil, Robbie Lange, Steve Michelson, Cory Nedd, Joel Verzosa, Aaron Weaver, Matt Weavil, and Billy Whitt. Some weeks they might contribute several posts. Other weeks might be quieter. All nine know their stuff, so I'm looking forward to reading it--and I appreciate their willingness to lend their expertise to this growing operation.

For those in the FF4W Premier League, I'm holding off until July before moving forward. Let's see how things shake out before scheduling drafts, etc.

I'm also holding off on the top 300 preseason rankings. If things look good later this preseason, it'll be a go. If you've also signed up online, don't sweat it; if 2020 turns out to be a lost season, you'll automatically be signed up for 2021--or if you'd prefer, I'll refund your donation.

There are obviously huge things happening beyond football. I want to be sensitive about external realities while also embracing the escapism that, for some, is as important as ever. So we'll see you in a couple weeks, and here's hoping reality somehow makes more sense by then.
