Holiday seasons are approaching and the fantasy playoffs are in full swing. So no small-talk today.
Here's my DFS 50/50 Lineup of the Week. I'm writing this Saturday night, so still no clue whether Josh Jacobs will start or even play. Derrick Henry is trying to get over a hamstring injury. Jameis Winston might be at less than 100% if he suits up. So I'm trying to pick guys who are likely to play at peak potential regardless of what goes down Sunday morning. As always, the following is based on FanDuel pricing. If you play something else, maybe swap out Saquon Barkley for a cheaper RB like Miles Sanders or, if you have to, Boston Scott. But who knows. If it's just a $1,000 difference, maybe you downgrade at QB? I hear Eli Manning still has one good game left in him.
QB Deshaun Watson ($8,200) -- Looked this up yesterday. Watson's been involved in 31 of Houston's 38 offensive TDs (82%). How impressive is that? Lamar Jackson has been part of only 75% of Baltimore's offensive TDs. When you're starting Watson, you know nearly every score will go through him. That's what I want in a DFS QB.
RB Christian McCaffrey ($10,400) -- I'm playing against him in the semis. Believe it or not, I'd rather win DFS than win my semis match. A league win is something only I can enjoy. DFS is for everybody. Go CMC.
RB Saquon Barkley ($8,300) -- There's nothing physically wrong with him. He said the other day it's the mental part of the game that's holding him back. He can't ask for a better opportunity to break through. 10 points is easy. 20+ is doable.
WR Kenny Golladay ($7,900) -- Facing the league's worst pass defense.
WR Danny Amendola ($5,400) -- A hedge, and facing the league's worst pass defense.
WR Justin Watson ($4,500) -- I need a cheap guy with upside, and Watson fits that profile.
TE Joshua Perkins ($4,000) -- As cheap as they come. With Philly's receiving corps depleted, Perkins offers nothing-to-lose TE2 potential. I could downgrade elsewhere, but I like having five high-impact players in my lineup.
FLEX Chris Carson ($7,400) -- My fifth high-impact player, going against one of the worst run defenses. With Rashaad Penny out of commission, Carson could net 25+ touches.
DST Chiefs ($3,900) -- Need to come up with $300 more to land the Packers. Settling for the Chiefs in what should be a foggy (and potentially sloppy) afternoon.
Good luck today.
