Once again we're looking at a number of questionable guys and a potential domino-effect of fantasy bargains if certain starters sit. I'm talking about the Austin Ekelers of the world -- players who could become instant must-start options. Except as of writing this, we simply don't know how it'll all shake out. So my DFS 50/50 Lineup of the Week focuses on what we do know: eight players and a DST highly capable of high-end production.
QB Carson Wentz ($7,700) -- Loving Wentz's rebound potential after last week's disaster in New Orleans. He'll throw for at least 300/3, and possibly as much as 400/5 (no joke) as the defending Super Bowl champs cling to postseason viability.
RB Saquon Barkley ($9,000) -- The Eagles' defense is underperforming and injury ravaged. Barkley is brilliant. A no-brainer, even at this steep price.
RB Nick Chubb ($7,500) -- Facing one of the league's worst run defenses, Chubb will be leaned on in an otherwise pedestrian offense.
WR Odell Beckham Jr. ($8,500) -- See above with Barkley. Philly has no one -- absolutely no one -- who can cover OBJ today.
WR Tyler Boyd ($6,800) -- Which Boyd will show up? It helps that Cincy's playing Cleveland, and it doesn't hurt that A.J. Green's expected to miss another game. Despite the risks, Boyd's upside makes him worth starting at his pretty reasonable price.
WR Dante Pettis ($4,600) -- He'll be in the starting lineup against a dreadful Bucs pass defense. This is a nothing-to-lose DFS play featuring the Niners' highest-upside receiver.
TE Cameron Brate ($4,400) -- No O.J. Howard, and I'm expecting these two teams to crack 50 total points. Solid odds for Brate.
FLEX Joe Mixon ($7,300) -- If he gets the touches, Mixon is an RB1 most weeks. Cincy should have the lead for much of this one, meaning game flow should keep their franchise RB on the field.
DST Bills ($4,000) -- The Bills are currently ahead of the Jaguars in the playoff hunt. Who would have predicted this in August? It's all moot anyway, as both of these teams will finish with 10+ losses. But as for today, Buffalo's defense is a great bet against Jacksonville's downtrodden offense.
Good luck today.
