Unstartable Players With Fantasy Playoff Value

Hundreds of players currently aren't startable. But you and I know some of them will be by the fantasy playoffs. Identify them, and you've got a huge edge heading into the back-end of the season.

FF4W contributor Matt Weavil's pick? Travis Benjamin. Currently the 49th highest scoring fantasy wideout in PPR, he's also Week 11's consensus 68th ranked WR and is available in 89% of ESPN leagues. "Three teams with beatable CBs over the top in weeks 14-16 make Benjamin the best boom-bust target on the wire," Matt says. "He's not for the faint at heart, but more the desperate. But if you made it this far, keep up the fight!"

FF4W contributor Aaron Weaver weighed in, too: "I'll go with Jonathan Williams because he's a Mark Ingram, or to a lesser extent, Alvin Kamara injury away from being a part of the best duo backfield in the NFL." Williams was a much-hyped handcuff to LeSean McCoy this summer before Buffalo surprised much of the fantasy world and cut him. The 23-year-old is available in 99.8% of ESPN leagues.

Additionally, I'll join the preseason chorus of accolades surrounding TE Adam Shaheen. Last week I pushed him as a solid TE flyer with Dion Sims sidelined. Although Sims should return this weekend, it's only a matter of time before the going-nowhere Bears give more run to their 2017 second rounder--who happens to be available in 99.7% of ESPN leagues.

Additionally, my preseason and regular-season warnings about Leonard Fournette--that his injury history and heavy workload were a terrible combination--are now turning into serious fantasy playoff red flags. He hasn't played a full game since Week 6 and is looking increasingly unstartable for Week 11. As strange as it might have sounded a few weeks ago, Chris Ivory (72% available) or T.Y. Yeldon (94% available) could help some of you win a title.
