It’s Saturday. It’s Week 10. So it’s Week 10’s Sleeper Saturday. Whether you play in daily leagues or regular leagues, here are some sleepers and some deep-deep-sleepers for all your fantasy needs. As always, some of these guys require a bit more desperation than others. But all have huge upsides—including the RB handcuffs if they’re named starters.
The Falcons own the second-worst pass defense in the league, and it’s not as if their schedule has consisted of high-powered passing opponents (Broncos, Seahawks, Bucs twice). This will be the first and only time I recommend starting Carson Wentz ($6,800 FanDuel price) all season. There are plenty of RB handcuffs who are flyer-worthy if their starter can’t go. While Todd Gurley returned to practice Friday after missing two straight, he’s listed as questionable for Sunday. Benny Cunningham ($4,500) would inherit a tough road matchup vs. the Jets, but at that price—and with the potential to earn 20+ touches if Gurley sits—he’s worth the risk. The same goes for DuJuan Harris ($5,200), who proved himself last week, and who once again will dominate touches if Carlos Hyde remains sidelined. And Peyton Barber ($5,700) is a bit pricey for a largely untested RB, but would start at home against the Bears if Doug Martin sits; that would be too tempting to pass up. Beyond those handcuffs, Darren Sproles ($5,100) is egregiously underpriced; he should hit double-digits in DFS.
Another Eagle, Jordan Matthews ($5,900), is similarly way too cheap. He’s had 65+ yards in four of his past five games and double-digit targets in two straight. Kendall Wright ($4,800) is always a good dart throw. Eli Rogers ($4,900) will start in three-wide sets on Sunday and is coming off a 100+ yard performance—not a fluke when you consider the team’s injuries and his likely ascension to Big Ben’s #2 target. Adam Humphries ($5,200) should be Jameis Winston’s #2 target against the Bears. And finally, with San Diego’s receiving corps downright unhealthy, Dontrelle Inman ($5,300) is gearing up for a 15+ point day if he starts (and it looks like he will).
At TE, the chemistry between Jay Cutler and Zach Miller ($5,400) is clear as day; they should connect on 7+ catches on Sunday. There’s talk about how great Philly’s defense is against tight ends, but that doesn’t mean you should ignore the incredibly inexpensive Austin Hooper ($4,500). And if Ladarius Green ($4,500) is activated, he’s a great high-risk / high-reward plug-in.
Finally, if you’re looking for streaming DSTs, Washington ($4,400) and New Orleans ($4,200) will take care of you. I don’t trust Minnesota’s or Denver’s offenses this week. Both Washington and New Orleans will be DST1s.
