Some things I’m tracking after Sunday’s games:
Spencer Ware’s fumbling issues could cost him and fantasy owners. Jamaal Charles, as expected, is being eased back
into the lineup. Ware has been a
sell-high RB for a couple weeks. It’s
not too late to grab Charles on the (relatively) cheap or sell Ware at a decent
price.
Russell Wilson proved me wrong with a huge road win. As he gets healthier this season, his numbers
should stabilize. On the flip side,
Tyler Lockett reportedly has been playing with a torn PCL, which helps explain
why this breakout candidate has flopped.
If he can heal, Lockett is a fantastic buy-low WR. But that’s the risk you’ll take in trying to
acquire him: Will he heal?
Drew Stanton might lead the Cardinals on Thursday, which is a scary
proposition if you have Larry Fitzgerald, Michael Floyd, and/or John
Brown. Carson Palmer is one bad hit away
from rendering most of the Cardinals almost useless from a fantasy perspective.
Is Todd Gurley hiding an injury?
I can’t believe it’s the offensive line, alone. We’re four games into the season, and Gurley
is looking worse, not better.
Terrance West played as well as fantasy managers hoped yesterday. If you’ve been stashing Kenneth Dixon, this
is a warning that he might not be leading this backfield by midseason. While it takes more than one game to
establish a starting role, West has taken an important first step.
