How the NFL Could Add Wednesday Night Football

My latest WRAL SportsFan column revisits a subject I first raised last year: How the NFL could add weekly Wednesday Night Football games while eliminating short weeks (no team would have to play on Sunday and then later that week):

A part of me can’t get enough of football, and giving myself yet another reason to watch—or even casually track stats while watching something else with my wife—would make each week that much more entertaining.  But the byproduct is that it would give NFL players more rest time between several games each season.  So it’s pro-fantasy, pro-player, and yes, even pro-NFL (more ad revenue).

Also, earlier this week all Season Pass subscribers received my updated valuations for about 400 players.  Sign up using the green box at www.fantasyfootballforwinners.com, and I’ll add you to the weekly distribution list.

It’s 6:30 a.m. as I’m writing this, so I need to head to the WRAL studio to record this week’s podcast.  Hopefully I’ll remember to mention a fantasy nightmare I had this weekend: my kicker had minus-6 points at halftime.  Makes me ill just thinking about it.

If you’ve had a fantasy nightmare, shout it out below or tweet it to me.  #FantasyFootballNightmare
