Final Survivor Pool Notice and Final Preseason Top 50 Bold Predictions: Latavius Murray and Ryan Fitzpatrick

Tonight, finally, the NFL season begins. I’ve received a growing swarm of questions these past few weeks. For the first time ever, I can’t promise to respond to everyone’s, though so far I think I have. If you have questions about trades, suggest first consulting the Player Values spreadsheet distributed weekly to all subscribers. Sign up for a penny or whatever you want to pay via the green sign-up box at www.fantasyfootballforwinners.com. It’s a useful way to size up whether that 1-for-1 or 2-for-2 offer will give you an edge.

Today is the last chance to sign up for the second annual FF4W Survivor Pool. Each week you pick a different NFL team. If they win, you get to pick a new team the following week; if they lose, you’re out. The winner gets a shout-out and a 30-minute phone consultation next summer to talk fantasy draft strategy, bargains, or whatever you want. Randy Scoggins won it last season and had a 30-minute pre-draft discussion with me last Friday. So yes, the payout is real. 66 have signed up. There’s always room for more:

Re: bold predictions, a few of my picks earlier this summer don’t look very good anymore; others look more promising. But because of an unforeseen delayed recovery and injury, two are getting swapped out.

Replacing Dion Lewis: Latavius Murray (RB-15 ADP) will be a top 10 RB. Improved offensive line. (Mostly) locked-in bellcow. A head coach with a running-game mindset. All of this adds up to Murray surprising a lot of people by securing RB1 numbers. The Raiders should crack .500 this season, and Murray will be counted on to play a significant role

Replacing Bruce Ellington: Ryan Fitzpatrick (QB-22 ADP) will be a top 16 QB. This is the second straight preseason that FitzMagic has been undervalued, and the second straight preseason that I’ve predicted much better numbers (http://www.fantasyfootballforwinners.com/2015/09/50-bold-predictions-final-list.html). Last year he came through—far beyond what I even expected. This season he’ll continue to be a streaming QB1 some weeks and a middle-to-high QB2 most other weeks..

The complete list is located at www.fantasyfootballforwinners.com/p/bold-predictions.html, where it’ll remain all season for transparency.

Good luck to everyone who’s got players going tonight. In the meantime, it’s not too late sell high on Jonathan Stewart, Greg Olsen, and Demaryius Thomas and to buy low on Devin Funchess.
