Long-time FF4W member (going back to the 2013 preseason) Yemi Onibokun noticed yesterday that I skipped over the #35 and #36 predictions (went from 34 to 37). So I’ve pushed the latest players back to 35-39 and am continuing with #40 today:
(40) Crockett Gillmore (N/A Positional ADP) will be a top 14 TE. In fairness, Ben Watson’s injury over the weekend clears the way for one of the remaining Baltimore tight ends to step up. Dennis Pitta remains out with a broken finger, but in a perfect world (i.e. where he’s healthy) he’d vie for TE1 numbers. That likely leaves Maxx Williams and Gillmore competing for targets in Week 1. Gillmore goes from undraftable to entirely draftable, as I believe he’ll take over #1 duties and will establish himself as a reliable Jason-Witten-lite TE with two-out-of-every-three-weeks startability.
(41) Vincent Jackson (WR-49 ADP) will be a top 35 WR. I’ve been high on VJax for two months, since writing in June: “Although I might be too high on veteran Vincent Jackson (#36 WR vs. consensus #49 WR), his injury-plagued 2015 season shouldn’t count against him. Last year marked the first time he hasn’t played in all 16 games since 2010. 800+ yards and 5+ TDs are realistic.

61 days later, his ADP hasn’t budged. It’s ludicrous when you think about it. Austin Seferian-Jenkins has issues that are limiting his development, and no other receiver has stepped up this preseason. Only 33 years old, VJax probably has at least 2-3 fantasy-relevant seasons left in the tank. Undrafted in most leagues and ignored my most experts, he’s an unquestionable steal when you’re rounding out your roster in the later rounds.
