Bold Predictions 22 and 23: Kenny Stills and Joe Flacco

Moving on with bold predictions:

(22)  Kenny Stills (WR-94 ADP) will be a top 60 WR.  In other words, in 14-team leagues starting three WRs and a flex, Stills should be rostered in every league as a borderline weekly starter.  None of the 56 Fantasy Pros-compiled experts place him inside the top 60, and only three have him inside the top 70.  Only two seasons ago he rang up a 931/3 line, reeling in an efficient 63-of-83 targets.   While he had the benefit of Drew Brees throwing to him, a 600+/5+ line is very doable with Ryan Tannehill at the helm.  Stills needs to beat out rookie Leonte Carroo in camp to claim Miami’s #3 receiver job and demonstrate that last year’s letdown was an anomaly.  At only 24 years old, I believe he’ll succeed.  Despite playing behind Jarvis Landry and DeVante Parker, Stills should carve out a big enough role to finish third in receiving yards on a Dolphins team that promises to be more effective through the air.

(23)   Joe Flacco (QB-29 ADP) will be a top 20 QB.  While I’ve never been a fantasy fan of Flacco’s, his average draft position has no bearing on reality.  A re-tooled receiving corps that includes Mike Wallace and Ben Watson—to go along with Steve Smith Sr., Kamar Aiken, Breshad Perriman (possibly), and a cadre of decent-upside TEs to complement Watson—Flacco is a reliable starter in 2-QB leagues and a streaming starter in most 1-QB leagues.  As recently as 2014 he posted the 13th most QB fantasy points.  I’m not willing to rank him 13th out of concerns for Smith’s and Perriman’s durability.  But most experts and owners are underestimating Baltimore’s veteran QB.
