I joined a 20-team--that's right, 20-team--league commissioned by the president of the Fantasy Sports Writers Association. My competitors are some fairly well known experts in the fantasy football community. Should be a great battle.
Now, a 20-team league seems kinda clown-ish. Some would say it makes a mockery of the game we love. But I think it'll be very interesting to compete in a league where 300 players are drafted, leaving only the dregs on waivers. It means each of my 15 draft picks has to be that much more strategic, because unless there's trading (and there usually isn't in leagues where people don't know each other well), the 15 guys I draft are the 15 guys I'll likely be stuck with all season.
Open to any and all feedback on- who you'd take at #18 and #23. Sure, we don't know who will be off the board at those spots. But given what you've seen, and knowing that talent will be widely dispersed, who are two top 23 fantasy players you'd absolutely want--and likely could get--with those first two picks?

In other news, Victor Cruz drops several WR spots on my draft board after the New York Daily News reported today that the hobbled received acknowledged he might miss Week 1. He’s a major re-injury risk all season. The talent is there, but the potential for bust is always looming.
Also, in case it isn't obvious enough, the Ravens’ backfield is a mess beyond the 30-year-old Justin Forsett. I’d be shocked if they didn’t sign Steven Jackson, Pierre Thomas, or some other not-quite-retired veteran, which would give that signee instant top 50 RB value with significant upside as an RB handcuff. Forsett has never been and will never be a 17-week bellcow. Someone else will need to step up, and I'm not sure we've seen him wearing a Ravens uniform yet.
