Late-Breaking Injury Updates

Some late-breaking news that might affect people, and which certainly impacts my recent advice re: trading for Luck:

Today Andrew Luck was limited in practice today with a "right shoulder issue," according to head coach Chuck Pagano.  Might be nothing.  Likely not too serious.  But possibly something to be concerned about.  If fantasy football were the stock market, I'd urge people to "hold" on Luck until the dust settles on this issue.  You don't want to give away, say, an RB1 if you can wait a day to confirm whether Luck's okay.

Second, Victor Cruz "felt his calf again" in practice today, according to head coach Tom Coughlin.  He was my 68th ranked WR this preseason for a reason.  If for some reason you've been holding onto him after drafting him in the eighth round, and you're gearing up for some tough roster decisions with bye weeks upon us, it's probably time to cut bait.  Sure, he could return to his normal self.  But at what cost to you now?  Find someone who can help you win this week.  Cruz might not help you win all year.

Third, ESPN's Adam Schefter suggested earlier that Marshawn Lynch is 50-50 to play Monday night. The important thing here is that the MRI on Lynch's hamstring hasn't been released.  We don't know what we don't know.  So Thomas Rawls *could* be in line for a full load in Week 4, putting him on the RB2/3 map.  Unless Pete Carroll pulls a fast one and runs with Fred Jackson instead, Rawls is a must-own, almost-must-start RB3 flex with upside.
