Bold Prediction: Kendall Wright

It's time to give WR Kendall Wright his due.  He's averaged 807 yards and four TDs per 15-game (on average) season.  Only 25 years old, his overall ADP is 103, while his WR-ADP is 45.  I'm predicting top 30 WR numbers for the largely overlooked Wright.

A few of you have continued to beat the drum on Marcus Mariota.  While I think he's got almost no shot of being a top 14 fantasy QB this season, Wright is his biggest weapon.  Not decent fill-in harry Douglas.  Not repeated underperformer Justin Hunter.  Not boom-bust rookie Dorial Green-Beckham.  And the only tight ends who can make their QBs markedly better are Gronk and Greg Olsen, so no, Delanie Walker won't turn Mariota into a streaming starter.

It's Wright who savvy fantasy footballers should focus on.  His past QBs are a celebrated list not of who's who, but of "who's not" (though I've always liked Ryan Fitzpatrick as a high-upside streaming QB):

- Jake Locker
- Matt Hasselbeck
- Fitzpatrick
- Charlie Whitehurst
- Zach Mettenberger

So along comes Mariota--a future franchise QB.  And with him comes Wright's best to reach the next level.  It won't take much.  The difference between 807 yards / 4 TDs and 950 yards / 5 TDs is less than 10 more yards per game and an extra score.  Completely doable.  And it should be expected.

Wright is a must-own WR in almost any league.  Bank on it.
