Yesterday morning I was a guest on the Wes McElroy Show on Fox Sports 910 in Richmond, VA. For those with time on their hands who enjoy listening to sports talk, my seven-minute segment comes at the end (and for some of you, the other 53 minutes might be far more enjoyable):

A few key takeaways:
(1) Jordy Nelson's injury makes me even more committed to Eddie Lacy as the #1 fantasy RB. As I brought up a couple months ago, as crazy as it sounds, 20 TDs is a real possibility.
(2) Carson Palmer is the key to the fantasy prospects of WRs John Brown, Larry Fitzgerald, and Michael Floyd. Outside of Sam Bradford and RGIII, there isn't a more injury-prone starting QB in the league. I drafted Brown in one of my leagues; he's worth the risk. But keep this in mind as you're drafting, and if you have an Arizona receiver who's kicking butt through Week 3, it might be time to trade him at his peak.
(3) DeMarco Murray-owners also should think about trading him if he explodes out of the gate. Historically, RBs with his previous year's workload fall flat the following season.
(4) Four receivers trending upward include Leonard Hankerson, Brandon Coleman, Markus Wheaton, and Brian Quick. The first three could/should be their team's second most targeted receiver this year. Quick should be #1--and a better franchise #1 than most are expecting.
(5) Ameer Abdullah will lead all rookies in fantasy points this year.
And as a side note, I wrote recently that Kirk Cousins was the QB to own in Washington, and even swapped RGIII for him on my top 250 rankings. If Cousins plays well today, those who took a chance on him in 2-QB leagues will be rewarded with a solid QB2 with upside if he starts Week 1. Grab him now if you have a bench spot to spare.
Everyone have a good Saturday.
