Three bold predictions down. 47 to go. Continuing our run through the AFC East, here are two guys who won't come close to earning their average draft positions.
(4) Jordan Cameron: #9 TE ADP. Prediction: Won't be a top 16 TE. He's simply too risky as a TE1. Last preseason he was almost universally viewed as a near-elite option at his position. But concussions have sidelined him each of the past three seasons. And what hope does he have in an offense that features five or six other viable targets (Landry, Stills, Parker, Jennings, Miller, and potentially Rishard Matthews)? He'll be lucky to average 40 yards per game, and might be lucky enough to muster 2-3 TDs--that is, if he makes it through the season unscathed.
(5) Brandon Marshall: #26 WR ADP. Prediction: Won't be a top 35 WR. His offseason jump to Jets will prove to be awful from a fantasy perspective, not to mention career-wise. Marshall is going off the boards, on average, in fifth round; he shouldn't be touched 'til the seventh or eighth. Sure, he's expected to be Geno Smith's #1 target. There could be some nice garbage time yardage. But his ADP suggests around 1,000 yards and six scores. The Jets don't have enough firepower to give Marshall enough scoring chances to be an every week starter.
