It’s time to tag WR Leonard Hankerson as one of my 50 “bold” predictions for the 2015 season. His positional ADP (#86) and overall ADP (#224) are simply nuts. He’ll start the season as Atlanta’s #3 wideout, but with good chemistry with OC Kyle Shanahan and with Roddy White past his prime, I believe he’ll outperform White this year and offer top 45 WR value. To add some perspective, of Fantasy Pros' composite of 51 fantasy experts (all the big names you'd expect), his WR ranking ranges from 53 to 150.
Not sure how anyone can rank Hankerson in the 100s (11 experts do) unless (a) they can predict the future and have seen how Hankerson will get knocked out for the year in Week 3, or (b) they're not paying attention. That's why we don't trust rankings blindly.
So back to reality: If you play in a league with three WR starters and a flex option, Hankerson is a solid weekly flex who will amass 700+ yards and 5+ TDs.
And for the second time this month, my #1 ranked fantasy kicker is out of a job. First it was Shaun Suisham (injury). Yesterday it was Connor Barth, who was cut by the Broncos—shocking given that he hit 15 of 16 field goals last year and all of his extra points. Not sure what to make of it, but Dan Bailey is my new #1 fantasy kicker.
So Dan, if you're out there, stay on Jerry Jones' good side, and remain indoors where it's safe,
