Preseason Top 250 Fantasy Rankings Announcement

If you want to see the first iteration of this preseason's top 250 fantasy players, message me, and I'll send it to you when it's ready Wednesday.  It's still a little rough and will be updated throughout August as injuries, depth chart battles, and other factors impact projections.  Message me anytime you want an updated version.  My final one, which will be shared publicly right before the season starts, will be the one I'll ultimately stand by, right or wrong, at season's end.

To those relatively new to this site, last preseason's top 10 rankings (and top 20 for RBs and WRs) were more accurate than those of ESPN, CBS Sports, Yahoo! Sports, etc.  Most of my misses were fairly common, like overvaluing AP, Montee Ball, Keenan Allen, Brandon Marshall, and Jordan Cameron.  I also had bad misses with Matt Stafford, Zac Stacy, Michael Floyd, Jordan Reed, and Greg Zuerlein (several of you warned me not to make him my #2 kicker, but I powered through . . . to great disappointment).

I also hit on a bunch of guys I tagged as undervalued compared to expert sites: Russell Wilson, Jeremy Hill, Mark Ingram, Ahmad Bradshaw, T.Y. Hilton, Mike Evans, Jordan Matthews, Mohamed Sanu, Travis Kelce, and the Texans D.  And I warned readers about severely overrated players like Colin Kaepernick, Nick Foles, Knowshon Moreno, Toby Gerhart, Pierre Garcon, and Dennis Pitta.

Transparency is key.  If my picks this year turn out to be bad, you'll be the first to know.

Monday's and Tuesday's posts will highlight the final two teams we haven't covered: the Seahawks and Patriots.  There will be some surprises (cue cliffhanger-themed music).
