The Return of Fantasy Football for Winners

After a five-month hiatus to bask in the glow of double-fatherhood (kudos to all you parents out there; and in the interest of fairness, kudos to all you non-parents out there), it's time to cast my 2-year-old and 8-month-old aside and re-focus on America's newest, bestest pastime.

Some of you may have already drafted.  Others are gearing up for yours . . . or your first of 23 drafts, if you're a draftaholic.

As in years past, my goal is to answer every single question you throw at me--and not just shoot from the gut, but give you the same advice I'd give myself after doing the necessary research and analysis.  Last year I was fielding about 10-15 questions during the preseason; by Week 11, due to audience growth, I was tackling more than 100 questions a week.

So I'll be blunt: While my goal is to answer every question, it's based on current expectations.  If you ask me to evaluate all 23 of your teams and assess which free agents you should target in each, I'll be putting that one aside until I have nothing better to do (hint: I will find something better to do).  By all means, fire away.  I'm here for you and want to help you win your league.  But if I miss something, it's only because I'm human.

A final word on this site.  Last year my preseason top 10/20 positional rankings proved more accurate than ESPN's, Yahoo! Sports', and CBS Sports':

  • ESPN: 48% accurate
  • Yahoo! Sports: 49% accurate
  • CBS Sports: 51% accurate
  • FF4W Blog: 58% accurate

My advice is only as useful as it is accurate.  So I'll commit to investing as much time is needed to help you win.  Here's hoping this year yields the same--or even more--success.
