The case for a Joseph Randle / Lance Dunbar strategy:
At this moment, RB DeMarco Murray is expected to play today. If you're in your league's championship, it might be hard to bench him unless you have a top 15 option sitting on your bench. But if you have Randle or Dunbar instead, a case could be made for starting one of them.
About half of the Cowboys' plays this year have been run plays--a big departure from recent Dallas teams, which have been far more pass heavy. Coming off back-to-back 30+ carry performances, Murray might not see more than 15 today. Joseph Randle has the potential for 12+ touches, while Dunbar could see 7-10 (making Dunbar a potentially solid PPR play).
In daily leagues, both guys come cheap, meaning you could install a Randle/Dunbar RB tandem and have plenty of cap space to load up on elite WRs or other positional players.
As always, I might be wrong about this. Murray could run over Indy to the tune of 100+ yards and two scores. But I believe Randle and Dunbar are very relevant today. I'm starting both of them in a big daily league competition today (the tandem strategy outlined above). Dallas should put up 24+ points. It's a worthwhile risk.
