Some news that could have major fantasy repercussions:

(1) Sports Illustrated's Peter King has reported that Adrian Peterson is "likely (but not certain) to be reinstated next week."  If you're holding onto the likes of Bishop Sankey or Chris Johnson or Ben Tate, hoping they might come through as a desperation RB2 play during the playoffs, it's time to drop one of 'em and grab AP.  No guarantee the Vikings will activate him.  But it's better to grab him at the risk of being wrong than to let an opponent scoop him up.

(2) Kendall Wright has a cracked bone in his hand and likely will be a game-time call Sunday.  I was high on him entering the week, with Justin Hunter out for the year.  Now I'm eyeing Nate Washington (6+ points in four of his last five games) as a potentially fantastic boom-bust WR play, while Delanie Walker becomes a near must-start TE.

(3) Not directly fantasy related, but interesting: I don't think the Arizona Cardinals will make the playoffs.  They're likely to lose at least two of their next four games (SEA and SF), with a good chance of losing to either KC or STL.  A 10-6 Cardinals team in this year's NFC is not a good bet to get in, assuming Dallas, Philly, and Detroit finish relatively strong.  The '93 Dolphins missed the playoffs after starting 9-2.  I believe the Cardinals will one-up that mark after a 9-1 start.
