A few thoughts as we head into Sunday's huge games:
(1) Keenan Allen is on pace this season for 843 yards and 2 TDs. That doesn't smell right. Most of the time, great players find a way to bring their stats up to, or at least close to, expectations. Allen will finish the year with 1,000+ yards and 5+ TDs. He's a must-start today. Predicting 100+ yards and at least one score.
(2) Andy Dalton scored the 5th most fantasy points among QBs last year. I don't believe he's anywhere near as bad as what we saw last week. With the Bucs and Steelers on the horizon, expect a relatively strong finish for Dalton, and at least 15 fantasy points today.
(3) I've been warning for weeks that as good as Marshawn Lynch is, Robert Turbin and Christine Michael are must-own handcuffs. Lynch has averaged 300+ carries per season over the last three years and is on pace for 272 this year. He's a major regression candidate this week. I'm expecting no more than 10 fantasy points.
(4) Can lightning strike twice for Frank Gore? No. Despite being ESPN's 10th best RB of the week, I view Gore as no better than a 60-yard, zero-score option vs. the Giants.
(5) If you're still holding onto Bobby Rainey, you've probably held onto him too long. Trade him in the next few hours before it's too late. He'll be lucky to get 4 fantasy points today.
Good luck everyone.
