Sports Illustrated has posted my column on reassessing fantasy expectations for four key members of the Patriots:
http://www.si.com/fantasy/2014/10/02/fantasy-football-week-5-new-england-patriots-tom-brady-rob-gronkowski
This piece expands on my column posted on this blog three nights ago. The gist is that I'm very down on Brady, moderately down on Edelman, slightly down on Gronkowski, and ironically bullish about Vereen.
As a side note, I made an unfounded prediction Tuesday night on ESPN 730 AM (Boise) that Bill Belichick soon will trade for a high-impact receiver to take pressure off Brady, Gronk, and Edelman and to kick-start the offense. I say "unfounded" because I have no inside knowledge--only a hunch that New England will do what it takes to ensure that Brady has the personnel to thrive.
If this happens, all bets are off re: this SI.com article. We'll see what happens. . . .
