My latest Sports Illustrated column highlights eight players who are due for a moderate-to-significant regression this season. Each has been posting elite or near-elite numbers. It's by no means a comprehensive list. But it's an example of players you might want to trade now, while their value has peaked.

As for tonight's opening Week 7 matchup, a few thoughts:
(1) Tom Brady might have a nice game, but it should only encourage folks to trade him away. Brady's schedule looks much tougher after the bye. He's not as terrible as he was the first few weeks, but he's certainly not as good as he's been the last couple.
(2) Brandon Bolden is an interesting boom-bust option with Stevan Ridley out. Despite the Jets' notable defensive line, they're not impervious to giving up a lot of yards, having yielded 300 over the past two games vs. backup RBs.
(3) Shane Vereen was one of my breakout candidates heading into Week 5. That game he posted 10 fantasy points, but followed it up with a dud. Remain patient with this guy; unless he's in Belichick's doghouse, he could be flirting with RB1 numbers half the time with Ridley out.
(4) Brandon LaFell is was the breakout WR du jour (pardon my French) last weekend. Should anyone believe he's the next coming of Antonio Brown? No, no one should. Guessing which New England WR will shine each week is like playing fantasy whack-a-mole.
(5) Jace Amaro is legitimate top 14 TE with upside. The Jets will be playing from behind nearly every game, and Amaro is arguably the best football player on the field outside of a healthy Eric Decker.
(6) Don't trust Chris Ivory tonight. The Pats D should clamp down in a motivating home matchup.
(7) Never trust Chris Johnson again.
(8) The Jets should bring back Brett Favre.
