Week 3 Undervalued Players

If you've read "Fantasy Football for Winners," you know that Dirk Hardy (an imaginary character representing brilliant fantasy footballers everywhere) remains ahead of the curve, adding and starting players *before* they get hot, and then dropping or trading them when their future value makes them unstartable.

Jo-Jo Mc’scuses, on the other hand, is always in reactive mode, adding and starting players *after* they get hot, and then wonder why their performance suffers the following week.

Whether you're desperate for a potential top 10 QB or hurting at the flex spot, choose Dirk over Jo-Jo. Choose smart risk taking over safe hedging. Those who are out in front of the competition never have to worry about falling behind:

QB - Nick Foles (Eagles)
The Redskins'd D is not as good as its first two games suggest. A road game vs. the intra-divisional rival Eagles will be the first true test, and it won't end well. I've been saying for months that Foles is not as good as his 2013 numbers suggest. But in this matchup, he should net 250+ yards and--yeah, I'm going for it--four TDs.

RB - Zac Stacy (Rams)
Last week's production and usage were encouraging. Stacy controls his own destiny with Benny Cunningham vying for more touches, and has a terrific matchup vs. Dallas. I expect the Rams' lead back to be a workhorse, moving the chains effectively (100+ yards) and finding the end zone at least once.

WR - Mohamed Sanu (Bengals)
This is the third and last time I promote Sanu--not because you're tired of hearing about him (or are you?), but because his value is peaking. The guy continues to get no respect from the "experts," as ESPN ranks him 37th among WRs (tied with about a dozen of his peers). Given his talent, role in the offense, and chemistry with Dalton, another 80+ yards and a score are likely.

TE - Travis Kelce (Chiefs)
With Jordan Reed sidelined, I needed a TE last week and debated between Kelce and Niles Paul. First I picked up Kelce, and then at the last minute I dropped him for Paul. Long term, I'd rather have the Chiefs' up-and-coming star, who would be a top 5 TE if he had a better QB throwing to him. He has a decent matchup and should be in line for 8+ targets.

Uber-darkhorse of the week: Ryan Fitzpatrick. Terrific matchup, terrific weapons. Projecting 200+ yards and 3+ scores, which would place him squarely in next week's "start or sit?" conversation.
